Bed warmer / primitive hunter

If you are considering adopting a Cirneco, here are some things you should know:

The Cirneco is VERY special, there are less that 200 registered Cirnechi in North America

The Cirneco is small, hardy and loves to hunt - so expect a reaction when a cat or squirrel passes by.

The Cirneco is an active, ancient breed who is eager to please and loves to be alongside you at all times. In essence, you'll have another shadow!

The Cirneco is curious and playful while also being vigilant and dominant.

Never leave your Cirneco alone with your family cat until you are certain they get along.

Your tone of voice
and a firm NO! will quickly let your Cirneco know who is the pack leader.

Cirnechi need the protection of fenced running areas.  Only trained cirnechi can be trusted off leash and then only in "safe" areas far from roads and highways.

The Cirneco loves nothing more than to crawl under the covers at the end of a long day.

These are extraordinarily special companions - never forget how blessed we are to have them.

Tara enjoying her new family

I am sure you miss her dearly, but know that she is in good hands, and we love her dearly.  I see a wonderful bond developing.  Tara says hi and to tell the rest of the kids to "shape up" and "get some work done on that ranch".

...we are doing just great!!!!  She is such a good girl.  We had company last night, and everyone loved her....
...again, thank you for helping us  bring a dog into our life again......I am falling in love all over again.

Lucio enjoying his new family!

"To see the changes in him in only just over a week is incredible. He now has his unmistakable twinkle back in his eyes. He was hesitant at first but now is full of confidence,  flipping toys in the air, prancing around the house, & chasing Karloff, Phoebe, and Bergen as if they were his long lost friends. He is home!! Lucio has quickly earned the right to run of the house with his pack, and yes, even sleeps under the covers in his masters bed. He loves racing downstairs and into his cage and watches daddy groom all these weird looking dogs. And oh it is chilly here but the fireplace is usually going.  ... it is almost like doggy heaven." (by Albert)
